Hi

Cheers. Although i've Abominable Snowman before. Meh.

Hi again it's me again

heard*

Dean

Many thanks for coming up with the goods sir!!!

Ellen

thanks so much for posting these--beautiful songs!!

Mike

mmmm, sooo good. thank you so much. I have some Th' Corn Gangg stuff and thats pretty darn good too.

Derek

"Abominable Snowman" was much better as a more-rocky Unicorns song done at one of those radio sessions.

"Flesh"... the intro reminds me some of No-Wave (which I like) but the song doesn't really go anywhere. I hope that they get their shit together. :(

dave

best pitchfork shout-out ever

deeselig

These boys are not French Canadian !

Frank

When can we expect an album...

Some live shows !!???

In Ottawa or Mtl on top of a mountain... or on a mountain top !??

Hot Sex

Damn, what else is there to check out from the 'corns besides the album, unicorns are people too, and 2014?!

Austin

A TON more tracks
+rare Alden Ginger stuff

franty

OMFG!!!! seriously, you don't know the good you've made to the entire planet for breaking out these news!!!

the unicorns are (were) my favorite band since the first time i've heard their album, and i was longing for new stuff from them....

...and "islands" is really amazing!! i guess those two tracks come from a complete album, don't they? (after all, the mp3s are labeled 3/12 and 5/12...so... may i ask....

when?

i hope soon, and on alien8recordings, so i can order it from here (i live in brazil and work on a record store).

anyway, what i've meant to say is, thanks, you've made my day...

comet

i don't understand why every montreal band is refered too as being french canadian when the bulk of the music scene here is anglo.
montreal is a city of 3 million people and according to the canadian census bureau , in 2001 there were 750 000 non-french speakers living in montreal.

macrophone

Thank You Thank You Thank You!, you just made my day guys

macrophone

seriously, you just made it

irina

where is is the cherubic, most lovely alden? can any of this work without him???

Andrew Rose

Nick and Jaime are recording the proper Islands album as we speak. It's also supposed to feature Richard Parry and Tim Kingsbury from the Arcade Fire.

Also of interest is the "Do They Know It's Halloween?" benefit single Nick and Jaime are coordinating which will feature the Arcade Fire, Beck, Thurston Moore, Karen O, Spike Jones, David Cross, and whole whack of other people.

You can find more about all this at the Pop Montreal site, and my blog.

Alden is also making some beautiful music right now. Think French new wave film instrumental soundtrack stuff. As far as I know the only thing he's put out is a little self-released 7" that I reviewed a coupled months ago.

Fuck Modee

Yeah I don't know about islands
Do they know it's Halloween sounds great but the vocals on abominable snowman from Islands sounds a little strange

Raashi

It works since the Unicorns are gone. Not as good, but still a nice sound.

lou

album out october-ish time

m-c

are these 2 'podsafe'?

alexander.

i listens to a "th' corn gangg" concert, and right before they played abominable snow.man they said it was an arcade fire song.

yeah.

alexander.

listened.

robert

dude. i love these 2 songs and loved the unicorns.

i live in L.A. and im looking but where can i find th' corn gangg music, and alden ginger's solo stuff? thanks for helping me out.

Laura

Good fucking lord, this is quite possibly the best news I've heard in a long while. Thanks, so, so much. And yeah, I've been sifting through a bunch of stuff, trying to find Th'Corn Gangg stuff, and am turning up with nothing. Where, oh where can I fill this void?
